SPECIAL Assistant to the President for Press and Public Relations AMOS CHANDA says President EDGAR LUNGU intends to make a state visit to India in the near future to tap into the sub- continent’s quality investments.

MR. CHANDA says the Head of State who is also Zambia’s Chief Marketing Officer and number one diplomat is impressed with the quality of Indian investments in the education, health, energy, agriculture, and information and telecommunications sectors.

He said this when he met First Secretary Press and Tourism of the Zambian Mission, New Delhi, India, BANGWE NAVILEY.

“Zambia’s geo- political interest is to see how we can get maximum investments from the sub- continent and His Excellency, the President, Mr. EDGAR CHAGWA LUNGU, intends to take a visit to India, but we are still talking,” Mr. CHANDA said.

And Zambia’s High Commissioner to India JUDITH KAPIJIMPANGA says an Indian company NAVA BHARAT Ventures Limited has been found which intends to venture into sugar plantation in LUENA Farm Block of KAWAMBWA, LUAPULA Province.

Mrs. KAPIJIMPANGA who is also accredited to Singapore, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Myanmar, says the development will increase Indian investment figures that currently stand at 3 Billion US Dollars.

“We are not going to leave any stone unturned because Indian Prime Minister NARENDRA MODI has indicated that he wants to work with Africa and Zambia is one of the most attractive destinations because of the long standing friendship, peace and attractive investment policies,” Mrs. KAPIJIMPANGA said.
