INDIA’S SHIMLA UNIVERSITY OFFERS SCHOLARSHIPS TO ZAMBIA

STATEMENT ON INDIA’S SHIMLA UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS FOR RELEASE TO THE MEDIA ON JUNE 12, 2017 

One of India’s leading private Universities, SHIMLA, has given Zambia 150 scholarships.

 

SHIMLA University Director Admissions AJIT NEDUNGADI says 50 are 100 percent scholarships while 100 are at 50 percent.

 

DR. NEDUNGADI says the scholarships are specifically for tuition fees while students should cater for their own air tickets, accommodation and state government administrative costs, all estimated at 1500 US Dollars per year.

 

“The scholarships are in the fields of engineering, management, fashion design, hospitality, law, journalism, architecture, and applied sciences,” he said.

 

DR. NEDUNGADI announced this when he called on Zambia’s High Commissioner to India JUDITH KAPIJIMPANGA at her residence in New Delhi, India. 

 

And Zambia’s High Commissioner to India JUDITH KAPIJIMPANGA has praised the Government of India and SHIMLA for providing a conducive environment to support students from Africa and Zambia in particular.

 

Mrs. KAPIJIMPANGA says the Zambian Mission in New Delhi will consult with the Ministry of Higher Education in Lusaka to ensure that the most vulnerable students benefit from the scholarships.
