PRESS STATEMENT ON MEDICAL EDUCATION PARTNERSHIPS FOR RELEASE TO THE MEDIA ON AUGUST 20, 2017(ELECTRONIC MEDIA)

A Lusaka civic leader is in India seeking partnerships in medical education to compliment Government efforts in medical skills.

Lusaka City Council Education Committee Chairperson and MWEMBESHI Ward 27 Councilor KELVIN KAUNDA says the many district hospitals and health posts that Government has built will need enough skilled man power.

MR. KAUNDA who is also Lusaka’s EDEN University Executive Director says the Zambian Government’s effort should be supported by the private sector to bridge the skills gap.

He said this when he called on Zambia’s High Commissioner to India JUDITH KAPIJIMPANGA at the Zambian Chancery in New Delhi, India.

And Mrs. KAPIJIMPANGA says she is delighted to note that a young civic leader has gone flat out seeking partnerships for the good of the Zambian people.

She says the Mission in India will work closely with institutions like Eden University to link them to other credible institutions of higher learning.

This is contained in a statement made available by First Secretary Press and Tourism at the Zambian Mission in New Delhi, India, BANGWE NAVILEY.
